Vertical Diner

I am so smitten with this place! I went there for dinner tonight and .... OMG. Dave ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy and mashed potatoes and a hard cider and I got some kinda chicken filly sandwich with fries and FRYSAUCE (this is mayo plus ketchup, a Utah innovation!) with a yummy dark beer.

They also have desserts and serve brunch ALL THE TIME!

The waitress was so nice, and the owner took some time to chat with us. The place, itself, is adorable, with lots of seating.

I have a feeling I'm going to spend many hung-over Sunday mornings there. :)

I'm a happy happy vegan tonight! It's getting easier and easier to be vegan every day in Salt Lake. Compared with just five years ago, there has been such a difference! I cannot think of an omni food that I couldn't easily replace, even the hot-dog stand guy has veggie dogs.
