Our governor, Jon M. Huntsman, is calling a second session of the legislature to consider making animal cruelty a felony in Utah. Utah is unfortunately one of the last states to do this. Unfortunately some of the senators only want to make it a felony on the SECOND act, which, quite literally, makes me ill.
If you're lucky enough to be living in Utah, PLEASE call you legislators right now. The session is THIS Wednesday.
