Happy Vegan Dogs
Sage and Darby have been vegan for a little less than a year now. They are 40% cuter now.

The legislature decided that the bill should be tabled AGAIN. It seems that they are hesitant to pass it to protect the ranchers and the fucking hillbillies that kill moles and rats in their yard.
What does this mean to us? That Utah needs a stronger and more organized animal rights movement. It's naive to think that we can change every one's minds, but we can expand their minds.
Cruelty to animals is heinous and unforgivable. This includes "vermin" and "food animals."

Animal Cruelty is Fucked Up. Make it a felony in Utah.

Our governor, Jon M. Huntsman, is calling a second session of the legislature to consider making animal cruelty a felony in Utah. Utah is unfortunately one of the last states to do this. Unfortunately some of the senators only want to make it a felony on the SECOND act, which, quite literally, makes me ill.
If you're lucky enough to be living in Utah, PLEASE call you legislators right now. The session is THIS Wednesday.

Vertical Diner
I am so smitten with this place! I went there for dinner tonight and .... OMG. Dave ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy and mashed potatoes and a hard cider and I got some kinda chicken filly sandwich with fries and FRYSAUCE (this is mayo plus ketchup, a Utah innovation!) with a yummy dark beer.
They also have desserts and serve brunch ALL THE TIME!
The waitress was so nice, and the owner took some time to chat with us. The place, itself, is adorable, with lots of seating.
I have a feeling I'm going to spend many hung-over Sunday mornings there. :)
I'm a happy happy vegan tonight! It's getting easier and easier to be vegan every day in Salt Lake. Compared with just five years ago, there has been such a difference! I cannot think of an omni food that I couldn't easily replace, even the hot-dog stand guy has veggie dogs.

Welcome. This is not a self-indulgent blog. The purpose of this blog is to show you how fucking easy, fun and delicious it is to be vegan. There are no excuses for eating flesh nor animal excretions. There are no excuses for wearing dead flesh nor hair.
I have attempted veganism a few times in the past few years, and have been vegan for almost one year now. I'm embarrassed that it has taken me so long to realize how easy it is! But, as my penance, I hope to encourage other new vegans, people considering veganism and curious on-lookers to adopt a cruelty-free lifestyle!
